About this role

Correctional Officers play a pivotal part in maintaining community safety and assisting offenders in their journey towards rehabilitation. They oversee inmates in correctional facilities such as prisons and court cells across New South Wales.

Key responsibilities

Correctional Officers work within a supportive team environment, adhering to a 24/7 rotating roster system where no two shifts are the same. They are required to interact with inmates and ensure the safety and security of the facility by conducting searches, monitoring behaviours and effective communication.
