About the Role

The Sanctions Analytics team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing detection systems by continuously monitoring emerging events and ensuring effective strategies are implemented to manage associated risk.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Making continual improvements to detection systems by designing optimization and detection rules to ensure maximum detection and mitigate emerging sanction concerns in a timely manner.
  2. Performing data analysis, providing insights into trends and anomalies using statistical tools like R, Python, and visualization tools such as Tableau.
  3. Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the Group's Sanctions systems and develop strategies to manage emerging risks effectively.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the Financial Services industry.
  • Proficient skills in SQL or SAS programming.
  • Statistical skillset including R, Python, and visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a numerate discipline or relevant industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Sanctions or other Financial Crime areas and Payment platforms such as SWIFT or NPP.
