At Rydges Esplanade Resort Cairns, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proactive and possess a high level of accuracy in their work.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Anticipating and attending to guests' needs and desires promptly.
  • Cleaning and servicing allocated rooms to the highest standards within the allotted timeframe.
  • Replenishing and controlling guest supplies.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues requiring attention to the Supervisor.
  • Following all Housekeeping policies and procedures as set by the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Maintaining a consistently high level of professional appearance.
  • Informing the Housekeeping Office immediately of any unusual situations encountered in or around the Hotel.
  • Reporting any potential health and safety hazards to the Supervisor.
  • Greeting Hotel guests with politeness and courtesy.
  • Attending monthly departmental meetings for communication, training, and information purposes.
  • Complying with the Hotel's standard operational policies and procedures.
  • Having a thorough knowledge of, and practicing all established workplace health and safety guidelines (WH&S).
  • Assisting other departments or outlets when required.
  • Performing other duties as directed by the Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Supervisors.
