Position: Housekeeping Supervisor

We are seeking a motivated and organised Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee our housekeeping team and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest comfort. In this pivotal role, you will manage day-to-day housekeeping operations, support and train staff, and ensure that all guest accommodation and public areas are immaculate and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, support, and mentor housekeeping staff to uphold exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Coordinate daily housekeeping operations and prioritise workload efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure consistency in standards and address any issues promptly.
  • Manage inventory of linen, cleaning supplies, and amenities, and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
  • Foster a positive team culture and encourage professional development among staff.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve any housekeeping concerns to ensure an outstanding guest experience.
  • Uphold the commitment of Morris Escapes to exceed guest expectations at every opportunity.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality sector.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead by example, motivate a diverse team, and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of cleaning procedures, health and safety requirements, and best practices within the hotel industry.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
