**Job Overview:** The selected candidate will support assurance activities across a respective region, managing staff, procedural and operational processes, quality assurance, and key performance indicators to deliver program assurance strategy and annual objectives. This role is responsible for managing assurance activities, ensuring the integrity of programs through strategic development, documentation, and procedures that provide a framework for ongoing monitoring and assurance activities.

The Assurance Team develops strategic plans, handles internal and external audits, risk assessment, grievance, and complaints management, and assists stakeholders in adhering to legislative and regulatory requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:** Under direction, the selected candidate will:

- Manage a team of assurance professionals, providing effective leadership when necessary.
- Guide and mentor team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required for success.
- Coordinate work priorities and deliverables, meeting key performance indicators, and reporting progress to senior management.
- Contribute to the development of an annual calendar of risk assessment and monitoring activities using a risk-based approach, prioritizing tasks within the respective region.
- Provide comprehensive onboarding and training for new team members, fostering strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Review and recommend improvements for templates and documents created by the team, and standard operating procedures for the Assurance Team.
- Periodically review and update standard operating procedures, recommending continuous improvement efforts.
- Travel (within the respective region) monthly, as needed.
- Perform other tasks reasonably requested by senior management.

**Requirements:** The ideal candidate will possess qualifications or 5-10 years' experience in relevant fields such as risk management, project management, governance, quality management, or Human Resources / Industrial Relations. They should demonstrate experience in risk management, assurance, and governance practices, as well as ability to manage and mentor teams in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. The successful candidate will be proactive, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
