Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

The position is responsible for leading a team in ensuring the quality of senior assessment processes, including endorsement, confirmation, and Applied syllabus quality assurance.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the Senior Quality Assurance Unit in providing high-quality assistance and support to Queensland's senior curriculum, assessment, and certification system.
- Guide Principal Project Officers in leading operational teams for trial initiatives, professional development, and training to ensure state-wide comparability of standards.
- Provide expert advice on emerging issues in the senior phase of schooling, including digital technology and artificial intelligence.
- Advise senior leaders on strategic priorities, policies, and procedures involving assessment and quality assurance.
- Oversee training logistics, resource development, and budget expenditure for state-wide quality assurance activities.
- Develop guidelines and procedures for professional development and training associated with quality assurance activities.
- Lead documentation development and maintenance guiding schools in interpreting QCE & QCIA policy and procedures handbooks for assessment and quality assurance.
- Manage team workloads to identify and prioritise schools at risk of not meeting quality assurance requirements.
- Maintain currency with state, national, and international developments in assessment and quality assurance.
