Strategic Health and Safety Professional

A strategic and experienced Health & Safety Manager is required to drive cultural change, champion zero-harm initiatives and lead the development of proactive systems to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
About the Role- Championing a zero-harm approach and leading visible safety leadership initiatives;
- Managing, maintaining and improving integrated HSE management systems and documentation;
- Overseeing OHS audits, incident investigations and root cause analyses;
- Lifting safety capability through training and mentoring programs;
- Embedding safety early in Precontracts, Operations and Delivery teams;
- Maintaining company-wide safety reporting systems, legal and risk registers;
- Driving improvements to performance metrics, lead indicators and safety outcomes;
- Representing the business externally on OHS matters – with clients, regulators and industry stakeholders.
- A Bachelor's degree in OHS, Civil Engineering or a related field;
- Certificate IV or Diploma in WHS (or equivalent recognised qualification);
- Minimum 5 years in a senior HSE role within civil construction or infrastructure projects;
- Expert-level knowledge of WHS Act 2011, relevant codes of practice and standards;
- Proven ability to lead HSE systems, investigations, audits and risk assessments;
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to influence at all levels;
- Experience working with major infrastructure contractors, government clients and subcontractors;
- Confidence to represent the business in audits, forums and industry discussions.
