Job Opportunity

The University of Queensland is seeking a highly skilled Principal Project Officer to support the implementation of initiatives related to respectful behaviors and gender-based violence prevention.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project delivery, develop project plans, and provide operational guidance on initiatives related to respectful behaviors and gender-based violence prevention.
  • Conduct systemic reviews, high-level evaluations, and project-specific research to inform recommendations.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery, promotion, and evaluation.
  • Contribute to aligning initiatives with relevant legislation and embed evaluation into future programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least four years of experience or an equivalent combination.
  • Proven expertise in research, data analysis, scoping, and evaluation in large-scale settings.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, advanced written and oral communication skills, and current knowledge of gender-based violence, student support, and workplace sexual harassment legislation.
  • Holder of a current Blue Card or ability to obtain one.
Favorable Conditions
  • Postgraduate qualifications in a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of the Australian higher education sector and current issues impacting student experience.
  • Experience in compliance, risk management, and policy interpretation in complex organizations.
