Job Title: Data Strategy Lead

A seasoned data professional is sought to lead our data strategy, combining technical expertise with strategic influence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the College's data maturity journey, including the rollout of our Microsoft Fabric Data Lake and data migration initiatives.
  • Develop frameworks, standards, and governance models to ensure data accuracy, security, and strategic leverage.
  • Mentor and uplift data capability across the College, embedding continuous improvement practices.

You are a highly skilled data practitioner with strong technical depth and stakeholder engagement skills. You will thrive in a role where you can set frameworks, roll up your sleeves, and make a lasting impact.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in data engineering, architecture, or related roles, with hands-on expertise in enterprise data platforms.
  • Proven delivery of data lakes, warehouses, pipelines, and governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data modelling, and modern programming languages such as Python, R, or Spark.
  • Practical understanding of metadata management, compliance, and data quality frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex data concepts in plain language.
