Job Title: Housekeeping Professional

Housekeepers are responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of hotel rooms, common areas, and public spaces. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • \
  • Sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors\
  • Dusting furniture and fixtures\
  • Vacuuming carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture\
  • Distributing clean towels and toiletries to guests\
  • Stocking linen closets and cleaning elevators\
  • Providing basic information to guests about hotel facilities and amenities\
  • Picking up debris and emptying trash containers\
  • Certifications: WHMIS Certificate required\
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation necessary\
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines; must be able to handle heavy loads and have excellent physical stamina\
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, reliability, team player, values, and ethics required\
  • Languages: English required\
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required\
  • Experience: 1-7 months experience preferred\
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, resort\
  • Responsibilities: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors; dust furniture; vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture; distribute clean towels and toiletries; stock linen closet; clean and disinfect elevators; attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items; provide basic information on facilities; pick up debris and empty trash containers\
  • Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: WHMIS Certificate\
  • Transportation/travel information: Own transportation\
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment; tight deadlines; handling heavy loads; attention to detail; bending, crouching, kneeling; combination of sitting, standing, walking\
