Job Summary: As a key leader in our engineering teams, you will drive the success of digital development projects.

This role involves leading, mentoring and growing a team of engineers supporting various applications across the domain. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the development process, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Leading and mentoring a team of software developers, championing best practice and consistent development outcomes addressing quality, testing, security, and documentation.
  • Identifying new ways of working to improve technology delivery and development services and leading the ongoing development of existing applications and the design and delivery of new applications.
  • Regularly assessing system performance, conducting diagnostics, and implementing optimizations to ensure efficient operation and response times.
  • Collaborating with Architecture teams on solutioning & long-term engineering strategy, designing for scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Setting standards for code quality, security, and platform stability, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Working with stakeholders to align technical execution with business goals & client needs.
  • Supporting and guiding the team in incident response and troubleshooting, focusing on robust monitoring and logging.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will bring excellent leadership and team management skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, commercial acumen and understanding of how technical decisions impact business performance.

Requirements: Proven ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders, proficient in modern development workflows, DevOps, and CI/CD practices, excellent analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision making.

Preferred Qualifications: Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques, SEO fundamentals, and headless architecture, familiarity with React, APIs, and headless commerce.
