Software Engineering Leadership Opportunity

This role offers the flexibility to be based in either Brisbane (Strathpine) or Sydney (Rhodes), with a hybrid work model.

The Digital Development Manager is accountable for driving the success of our engineering teams within the Digital Platform. This leader will report to the Head of Omni Platform and lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers supporting various applications across the domain.

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve technology delivery and development services.
  • Regularly assess system performance, conduct diagnostics, and implement optimizations to ensure efficient operation and response times.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical execution with business goals and client needs.
  • Support and guide the team in incident response and troubleshooting, focusing on robust monitoring and logging.

This leader must have excellent leadership and team management skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, commercial acumen, and proficiency in modern development workflows.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of how technical decisions impact business performance.
  • Proficient in DevOps and CI/CD practices.

This opportunity requires a strategic partner to senior stakeholders across Digital & Technology and the business, providing technical guidance and translating technical requirements into scalable service-aligned delivery outcomes.

Skill areas include software development, DevOps, and project management. We're looking for an experienced leader who can foster collaboration and drive results through innovation and best practice.

Preferred qualifications include Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience, understanding of web performance optimization techniques, SEO fundamentals, and headless architecture.
