About the Role

The Nursing Director, Clinical Practice Development is a key leadership position within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service, responsible for driving the development and implementation of a contemporary Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Framework.

This role requires a strategic thinker with advanced experience in leading education and research strategies that support the delivery of contemporary healthcare and enhance organisational capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and management in the development and implementation of the Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Framework.
  • Coordinate and provide undergraduate and postgraduate clinical education and research for the Health Service.
  • Collaborate and consult with nursing/midwifery leadership teams and other key stakeholders to achieve strategic leadership, innovation, sustainability and excellence through education and research.
Requirements
  • Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
  • Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships within the organisation, across the service and with a diverse range of external stakeholders to deliver best health outcomes.
