The State of Queensland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Director to lead the development and implementation of a contemporary Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Framework for Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and management in the development and implementation of the Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research Framework.
- Operateally accountable for the coordination and provision of undergraduate and postgraduate clinical education and research for the Health Service.
- Collaborate and consult with nursing/midwifery leadership teams and other key stakeholders to achieve strategic leadership, innovation, sustainability and excellence through education and research.
- Develop and implement education and research strategies that support the delivery of contemporary healthcare and enhance organisational capability.
- Advanced experience in leading the design, implementation and evaluation of education and research strategies.
- Strong commitment to making service performance improvements and a determination to achieve positive service outcomes for users.
- Analytical, financial, and material resource management skills.
- Ability to build and sustain relationships within the organisation, across the service and with a diverse range of external stakeholders.
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
