Compensation and Benefits Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compensation Structures: Assist in the development and maintenance of compensation structures, salary benchmarking, and bonus plans to ensure a competitive and equitable remuneration package.
  • Salary Adjustments: Support with salary adjustments, promotional increases, and incentive scheme management to align with industry standards.
  • Job Descriptions and Classifications: Evaluate and maintain job descriptions and classifications to ensure internal equity and competitive alignment.
  • Employee Benefits: Coordinate employee benefits, including enrollments, wellness programs, and recognition structures to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Benefits Inquiries: Serve as a primary contact for benefits inquiries, helping employees understand and select their options.
  • Legislative Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation regarding employee benefits.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement within compensation and benefits.
  • HRIS Systems: Manage and verify the accuracy of data in HRIS systems, generating reports, dashboards, and metrics as needed.
  • HR Strategy: Provide insights and metrics to support HR strategy and inform decision-making.
  • Communications: Develop and deliver communications on compensation and benefits programs to enhance understanding and engagement.
  • Onboarding: Support onboarding by explaining compensation and benefits packages to new hires.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years in HR coordination/generalist roles, ideally with blue-collar exposure.
  • Previous experience managing remuneration and rewards admin preferably.
  • Tertiary HR qualification or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills, confident in HRIS, data reporting, and analysis.
  • Agile, adaptable, and dynamic.
  • Passionate or keen to specialise in remuneration and benefits.
