About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Claims Specialist to join our team at Coles Group. As a Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for effectively managing a portfolio of workers compensation claims in accordance with state laws and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Pro-actively manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims to support injured team members with long-term injuries, support treatment and recovery, and ensure they receive their correct entitlements and are aware of their rights and responsibilities.
- Determine ongoing liability on complex claims.
- Facilitate resolution of workers compensation claims with a strong focus on engagement between injured team members and treatment providers to bring about understanding, collaboration, and continuous improvement in claims management.
- Co-ordinate and support services that support our injured team members achieve a return to work.
- Co-ordinate and manage external service and health providers and gather information from stakeholders to effectively manage the claim and facilitate recovery.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will need a strong understanding and experience in engaging and supporting customers in difficult situations. Ideally, you will have 2 years+ claims management experience in workers compensation; however, we will consider applicants with experience in other forms of insurance practice or transferrable skills and experience.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience and skill with Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Claims or Electronic Information Management systems experience.
