Job Title: HSE Manager

This key operational role is responsible for delivering practical health, safety, and environmental leadership and influencing cultural change, driving a strategy of best practice processes and results.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Driving consistent and continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental practices and standards.
  • Developing best practice in health, safety, and environmental matters across all aspects of the business.
  • Providing health, safety, and environmental leadership, advice, and support to all employees and sub-contractors.
  • Assessing, improving, and maintaining a comprehensive health and safety management system.
  • Developing initiatives to improve health and safety performance and support business objectives.
  • Partnering with all areas of the business to facilitate positive health and safety behaviors.
  • Ensuring new employees are inducted into the health and safety system and related procedures and processes.
  • Maintaining a culture of continual improvement within the Integrated Management System.
  • Liaising with the Operations Manager on health and safety requirements and plans for all contracts and major projects.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing health, safety, and environmental management systems.
  • Experience in a health and safety management role within a maintenance service or industrial environment.
  • Thorough understanding of WHS legislation, regulations, and standards.
  • Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety (highly desirable).
  • First aid certificate.
  • Current C driver's licence and clean driving record.
  • Able to provide a National Police Clearance.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Location:

This is a permanent, residential role based at our Broome Workshop. We will consider applicants who reside in Perth willing to relocate to Broome or undertake regular travel.
