Job Opportunity

Natural Resource Management Project Officers play a pivotal role in supporting government priorities for the sustainable management of Crown land.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct environmental assessments and land use planning to support Crown land outcomes, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
  • Provide expert advice on land and property management issues to internal and external clients, leveraging knowledge and experience to drive positive results.
  • Prepare and present reports grounded in sound scientific and planning principles, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and coordinate land use projects across diverse communities, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
  • Manage hazard reduction activities to minimise public liability risks, prioritising safety and efficiency.
  • Offer technical guidance to staff on environmental and natural resource management practices, promoting professional development and excellence.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely data entry across relevant systems, facilitating informed decision-making and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, natural resources, planning or other relevant field and/or equivalent level of knowledge and experience in the industry.
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to travel, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
