This role offers the opportunity to work with children, youth and families to assess and provide evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate psychosocial, emotional and behavioural issues.
The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including paediatricians, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, dietitians, physiotherapists, social workers and child & family health nurses.
Responsibilities will include delivering group programs for children and parents, including emotional regulation and parenting support. The successful candidate will also contribute to service planning, policy development, research, quality improvement projects and possibly supervise other health clinicians.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and provide evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate psychosocial, emotional and behavioural issues in children, youth and families.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care.
- Develop and deliver group programs for children and parents, including emotional regulation and parenting support.
- Contribute to service planning, policy development, research, quality improvement projects and possibly supervise other health clinicians.
- Master's degree in Psychology or related field.
- Eligibility for registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
- Experience working with children, youth and families in a mental health setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
