Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Support Specialist to join our team in Northern NSW. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact across diverse communities by empowering First Nations children with disabilities or developmental delays to achieve independence, community inclusion, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to First Nations families to establish meaningful goals & aspirations for their child and family, and track progression toward goals.
  • Support First Nations children aged 0–9 with disabilities or developmental delays through observations in their natural environment (face to face and/or remotely via video conference).
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with First Nations families, ensuring their voices and preferences are at the forefront.
  • Establish connections and linkages to mainstream services in the local area to improve children's access to the right supports and meaningful social participation.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with First Nations children and families.
  • Understanding of child development (0–9 years).
  • Knowledge and connection to local First Nations communities.
  • Ability to promote a culturally safe and supportive work environment.
  • Aboriginality confirmed by a common seal and a reference from an Aboriginal organisation or community group.
  • Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood or Allied Health is desirable.
  • Valid Driver's Licence (P1 minimum) and willingness to travel across Northern NSW.
  • WWCC & NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Full Australian working rights.
