Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Host to provide exceptional service to our guests. As the first point of contact for our restaurant, you will be responsible for greeting and welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring outstanding service.

The ideal candidate will have previous customer service or hospitality experience and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. They will be able to effectively manage multiple tasks in a dynamic setting and provide accurate information to guests about our menu, products, and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome all restaurant guests, be knowledgeable about the area, and provide information when asked.
  • Provide fair and consistent seating of guests.
  • Accurately handle paperwork, stock, and tidy the host stand.
  • Receive and record reservations via phone or in person, accurately booking guests based on incoming calls.
  • Taking room service orders may be part of your responsibilities.
  • Check floor and tables for accuracy and cleanliness.
  • Assist in bussing tables as needed.
  • If any orders are 'carry-out', package and check-out (if necessary).
  • Help servers by refilling beverages when needed.
  • Provide information to guests as requested.
  • Perform other restaurant and customer service-related requests for guests.
Requirements
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a dynamic setting, while also effectively communicating product, menu, and allergy information to guests.
  • Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
  • Able to learn, retain, and present product, menu, and allergy information to guests.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn the restaurant point-of-sale system and reservation system.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, a real passion for hospitality, and you love crafting unique and memorable experiences for guests.
