We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our HSE team. Reporting to the Superintendent Group – Environment, this role is responsible for providing direct support and governance to ensure our NSW and QLD operational sites comply with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and monitor group environmental policies and procedures to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainable practices.
- Provide expert guidance and support to operational teams to drive a culture of environmental stewardship and compliance throughout the organization.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and increase value through the use of data analysis and risk.
- Review legislative updates and changes that may affect environmental compliance outcomes.
- Degree qualifications in Environmental Sciences or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with heavy industry/mine experience preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory processes in the mining sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and great attention to detail.
