Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement risk reduction activities to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and observations to identify potential hazards.
  • Manage contractors and oversee site services, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation.
  • Assist in the rollout of corporate safety compliance activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent environmental impacts and coordinate waste reduction and removal processes.
  • Conduct monthly environmental compliance activities and maintain records to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Investigate and address environmental incidents, ensuring effective corrective action is taken.
  • Lead resource sustainability projects to achieve cost savings through energy reduction and water management.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Engineering or Sciences (desirable).
  • Completed or studying Cert IV or Diploma in Safety.
  • Relevant management experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Experience in implementing Environmental legislative standards.
  • Lead Auditor trained and Contractor Management experience (preferred).
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to influence and engage with all levels of the business.
