Clinical Leadership for People with Disability

This position offers an exceptional opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise and leadership skills in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize advanced clinical knowledge and experience to support the multidisciplinary team in positive behaviour support, reducing restrictive practices and ensuring consistency and quality in service delivery.
  • Provide leadership in clinical practice, mentoring and supervising Practice Consultants and other staff, supporting the Senior Practitioner in their role.
  • Monitor and evaluate the use of restrictive practices, providing timely advice and reporting to the Senior Practitioner.
  • Provide information on the rights of individuals with disability who may be subject to restrictive practices.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a relevant qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
  • Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration NDIS Endorsed (or ability to quickly acquire).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualifications and/or extensive experience in health and/or disability service administration, leadership, public policy and operations of government, and/or clinical or regulatory governance.
  • At least five years' practical experience as an allied health practitioner.
