Clinical Director - Transformative Mental Health Leadership

Job Description
  • This is an exciting opportunity to lead a transformative mental health service that gives young people a chance to recover and thrive.
  • As the Clinical Director, you'll be responsible for leading clinical services for the headspace Early Psychosis program, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care for young people.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and implementing programs for people experiencing mental illness, as well as exceptional communication and leadership skills to inspire and educate multi-disciplinary teams.

About The Role

You will collaborate closely with managers to ensure seamless, coordinated mental health care for young people at risk or experiencing psychosis, maintain strong relationships with Tasmanian Health to ensure efficient access to emergency care and inpatient services.

The role is based in Hobart on the southern lands of Tasmania, we pay our respects to the original owners of this land.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Medical qualifications and full registration with AHPRA, along with Fellowship in the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
  • A proven track record in clinical psychiatry, with extensive experience in developing and implementing programs for people experiencing mental illness.
  • Strong understanding of the Tasmanian mental health sector and relevant legislation.
