About the Mine:

This underground mine operation comprises multiple mining areas feeding a central processing facility. Ore is extracted via open-stope mining with backfill methods and processed in staged campaigns to produce separate concentrates of copper, lead, zinc alongside appreciable quantities of gold and silver.

Recent exploration efforts have focused on extending known orebodies and assessing new high-value targets to support future resource growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver essential mine infrastructure projects such as ventilation systems, power and air distribution, water networks, pumping stations, pipelines, and communications.
  • Plan and integrate capital projects into the monthly planning process (MMP).
  • Own the mine scheduling cycle, ensuring infrastructure aligns with production goals.
  • Support the Senior Long-Term Engineer throughout project execution.
  • Act as Technical Services liaison within the underground operation.
  • Offer daily operational advice and support to production teams.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • 4–5+ years of experience in underground production mining.
  • Experience in asset lifecycle planning and mid-term scheduling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder influencing ability.
  • Proactive and organised with a solid safety mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
