Job Title: Mining Engineer

Brunel has partnered with a well-established underground coal producer in QLD to find a capable and experienced Mining Engineer with strong technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, design, and optimization of mining activities with a focus on longwall operations. This involves working closely with production and technical teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant resource extraction.
  • The successful candidate will develop and implement mine plans with a primary focus on longwall operations; contribute to board & pillar planning where required.
  • Synergize with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence, monitor performance, and identify cost-saving and productivity improvements.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Mining Engineering or a related field is essential for this role.
  • With 3-5 years of experience in mining operations, preferably with exposure to underground coal mining, you will have developed expertise in mining software such as Surpac, Vulcan, Auto CAD.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills are crucial for success in this position.
