About the Role

The Youth Outreach Housing Specialist will work closely with young people to empower them, build their agency, and address their identified housing and wellbeing needs. This role involves extensive outreach work, engaging with young people in crisis accommodation, street outreach, and refuges, and translating initial engagement into a strong ongoing partnership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet individual case performance targets through our weekly, monthly, and quarterly dashboard system.
  • Provide high-quality, client-centric practice in all interactions, aligning with ATSICHS values and vision.
  • Deliver exceptional case management practices and record-keeping, adhering to operational requirements.
  • Employ a positive and assertive outreach approach to engage clients and foster a strong partnership.
  • Facilitate client-led assessments and Care Plans to identify client goals, including the entire family where appropriate.
  • Provide targeted interventions and family-facilitated group meetings to achieve client goals.

  • 1 full-time and 1 part-time position available.
  • Starting annual salary of $90,600 + 11.5% Super + Not-for-Profit Salary Packaging (increases your take-home pay).

Requirements
  • Current Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Social Science, Health, Allied Health, Youth Work, Community Services, Family Intervention, or Criminology with 4 years' relevant experience in family support, child protection, youth support, or a related field.
  • OR Current Diploma in Community Services, Social Work, Human Services, Child and Family, Allied Health, Youth Work, Child and Family Intervention with 5 years' relevant experience in family support, child protection, youth support, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a case management role.
Additional Requirements
  • Requirement to travel across the Logan, Bayside, and Brisbane region, as per program/resident location.
  • Current driver's licence.
  • Valid police check.
  • Flexibility to work outside core 8:30am-5pm business hours to meet individual client needs and provide responsive care.
  • Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or eligibility to apply.
