Job Title: Data Center Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Data Center Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure and providing exceptional customer service to our data center customers.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a leading global organization. Our state-of-the-art data centers provide interconnections to all major clouds and networks, enabling customers to place infrastructure wherever they need it and connect it to everything they need to succeed.

You will work closely with a close-knit team delivering best-in-class service to our customers. As a Data Center Operations Specialist, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow with our company, working on complex projects and developing your skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain critical infrastructure, including equipment maintenance and service provisioning
  • Provide first-level support for facility alarms and issues
  • Perform housekeeping duties to ensure data centers are maintained in a first-class condition
  • Support disaster recovery drills and invocations
  • Install and de-install customer cross-connections
  • Perform Smart Hands and tape backup Services
  • Warehouse and vendor management
  • Reporting facility alarm, outside hours monitoring of critical facilities
  • Incident handling, problem troubleshooting, and escalation to upper tier
  • Supervise vendors for work within data center premises
  • Maintain accurate records, document all problems, and prepare reports

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Networking, IT, or related field (ideal)
  • High-level computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service focus
  • Ability to learn fast and work autonomously and in a team
