Fund Order Services Officer

This officer position is within the Fund Order Services Global Delivery (GD) Business unit located in Sydney servicing clients in APAC with primary functions being Order routing and unlisted asset valuation in accounting.

Key Responsibilities
- Account for the day-to-day management of a team and manage daily service delivery and production activities performed by staff. Work in conjunction with individuals on the team as well as up/downstream teams, stakeholders to ensure seamless processing according to the fund's policies, ensuring all SLAs are met. Work collaboratively with management on migration, projects, KPIs, etc.
- Involve in the process to approve high-value transactions, risk email handling, and asset conversions.
- Take ownership to monitor all emails, ensure no missing or failure to respond emails, and guide staff to handle queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Build trust and good relationships with stakeholders.
- Communicate and escalate issues timely and effectively in accordance with escalation protocol.
- Manage KPI, overtime, turnover, IDDs, etc.
- Ensure controls, checklists, procedures, and compliance requirements are met timely and accurately when delivering services to clients.
- Train, develop, and motivate new staff, as well as complete performance appraisals.
- Build measurable and visible performance ranking for the team.
- Create a systematic training framework to benefit new joiners' learning and cross-support training.
- Identify key talent, guide them to become mature staff/role models of the team, and assist the talent to move to the next level.
- Conduct regular team meetings/team talks to share information and knowledge.
- Identify gaps/risks/pain points by reviewing the process and utilize technology to simplify current processes and mitigate potential risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/Economics with a specialization in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 8+ years of related Custody and/or Fund Accounting experience, with 2+ years in a management or supervisory role.
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and management skills.
- Good escalation awareness and risk excellence.
- Good capability to drive changes.
- Knowledge of securities language, Corporate Actions, Income & Expense accruals, SEC yields, Distributions, NAV calculations, etc.
- Prior Mutual Fund accounting experience including General Ledger analysis and reconciliation.
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and management skills.
