Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Paint Application Specialist to join our team. As an Automotive Paint Application Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing bodies for painting, mixing and preparing primer and paint, and spraying 2-pack paint with an air gun.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare bodies for painting by filling in gouges and imperfections with filler, sanding, and/or sandblasting
- Mask bodies to protect surrounding areas from overspray
- Mix and prepare primer and paint according to manufacturer specifications
- Spray 2-pack paint with an air gun, ensuring a smooth and even finish
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful as an Automotive Paint Application Specialist, you will need the following qualifications and skills:
- Trade qualified in a relevant field such as automotive painting or finishing
- Experience working with a variety of paints and coatings, including 2-pack paint
- Ability to colour match and achieve precise colour consistency
- Physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy equipment
