About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Secondary House Leader/Teacher to join our team at a well-respected Catholic Secondary school in Melbourne's West region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in promoting student well-being, academic success, and spiritual growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement explicit instructional practice to drive student learning outcomes.
  • Develop and lead strategies to improve student learning outcomes and social emotional wellbeing.
  • Promote and celebrate College Growth Habits for students.
  • Monitor and utilise data to support and track the learning journey of students.
  • Develop and lead a case management approach to support students with complex wellbeing, learning and behavioural issues.
  • Collaborate with House Leaders, Director - Student Services, and other stakeholders on the development and delivery of the patrols Program.
  • Promote and support College policies and expectations with the school community.
  • Actively promote the growth and development of a caring and Gospel-based Catholic identity and House Spirit.
  • Hold regular student-led House assemblies to promote spirit, Catholic identity and a sense of belonging.
  • Act as a Child Safety Officer and liaise with others in Leadership positions within the College.
  • Develop strong collaborative teams aligned with the vision, mission and strategic plan of the College.
Requirements
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Valid VIT registration.
  • Leadership experience within a Catholic Secondary School setting in Australia.
  • Minimum 4-year bachelor's degree containing a teaching qualification.
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years from upper management.
  • An understanding and appreciation of Catholic teachings, values, and traditions.
