Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Architect/Engineer to join our team at SS&C Technologies. As a key member of our cloud infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and managing our cloud-based infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with scrum teams to implement best practices for Private Cloud, On Prem, AWS Cloud, Azure, and Kubernetes.
  2. Identify and mitigate risks to security procedures, ensuring the integrity of our cloud-based systems.
  3. Develop and implement solutions to complex problems, leveraging your expertise in cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes.
  4. Establish and maintain the infrastructure and related methodologies for new projects in Private Cloud, On Prem, AWS Cloud, Azure, and Kubernetes environments.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  2. 10+ years' experience in Software Engineering, preferably in SaaS environments.
  3. 5+ years of Kubernetes production experience.
  4. Experience with AWS, Azure, Private Cloud, and OnPrem Platform.
  5. Experience with horizontal and vertical autoscaling.
  6. Experience with EKS-Engine preferred.
  7. Deep understanding of Kubernetes services, load balancing, networking, and security.
  8. Experience with Istio.
  9. Experience deploying and managing stateful applications and storage in Kubernetes.
  10. Experience operationalizing AI/ML.
  11. Excellent knowledge of public and private cloud technologies.
Additional Skills
  1. Solid hands-on software development experience in big data environments, utilizing Go and/or Python.
  2. Experience with microservice architectures.
  3. Experience with HashiCorp tools.
  4. Excellent knowledge of Linux.
  5. Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently.
  6. Experience working on agile projects and understanding of agile concepts.
  7. Ability to work and achieve stretch goals in a very innovative and fast-paced environment.
Certifications

CKA, AWS, Azure certifications preferred.
