**Job Title:** Cloud Operations Architect/Engineer (Kubernetes)

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations Architect/Engineer (Kubernetes) to join our team at SS&C Technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist scrum teams with cloud infrastructure best practices, including Private Cloud, On Prem, AWS Cloud, Azure, and Kubernetes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to security procedures, ensuring the integrity of our cloud infrastructure.
  • Assist in solving complex problems, leveraging expertise in cloud operations and Kubernetes.
  • Establish the infrastructure and related methodologies for new projects in the Private Cloud, On Prem, AWS Cloud, Azure environment, and full life cycle support (planning, designing, building, supporting multiple applications development and test environments).
  • Develop and produce architecture drawings using Visio/Lucid Chart/related tools, utilizing standard architecture notations.
  • Function as a design team member to engineer, implement, and manage Dev Sec Ops Cloud Environments using a combination of Private Cloud, On Prem, AWS Cloud, Azure tools and services developed using Agile methodologies.
  • Plan and support Kubernetes clusters to plan and execute the migration of non-containerized/containerized microservices into a Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 10+ years' experience in Software Engineering, preferably in SaaS environments.
  • 5+ years Kubernetes production experience.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, Private Cloud, and On Prem Platform.
  • Experience with horizontal and vertical autoscaling.
  • Experience with EKS-Engine preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes services, load balancing, networking, and security.
  • Experience with Istio.
  • Experience deploying and managing stateful applications and storage in Kubernetes.
  • Experience operationalizing AI/ML.
  • Excellent knowledge of public and private cloud technologies.
Additional Skills:
  • Solid hands-on software development experience in big data environments, utilizing Go and/or Python.
  • Experience with microservice architectures.
  • Experience with Hashi Corp tools.
  • Excellent knowledge of Linux.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently.
  • Experience working on agile projects and understanding of agile concepts.
  • Ability to work and achieve stretch goals in a very innovative and fast-paced environment.
Certifications:
  • CKA, AWS, Azure certifications preferred.
