Job DescriptionJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining our advanced security systems at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain equipment in the field, providing customer training as required.
- Document all inspections, maintenance, repair work, and submit paperwork in a timely basis.
- Order, install, and return parts, managing repair parts cycle time.
- Review all logs for open issues and prepare formal reports to customers as necessary.
- Participate in service sales opportunities and assist with promoting and implementing revenue programs.
- Ensure that tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
- Assess product/equipment performance based on field support data, recommending modifications or improvements where applicable.
- Provide technical support to customers and other service professionals as required.
- Possess a solid level of technical knowledge on our main products in the region.
- Establish and maintain a close relationship with senior-level FSEs and Product Specialists to support customer needs and remain aware of current technical trends.
- Exercise every available measure to control and minimize costs.
- Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety, and environmental policies.
Requirements:
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree or equivalent technical training/experience.
- Competency in use of all programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems/equipment.
- Good communications skills and a strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork.
- Ability to multitask several projects at once.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle stressful situations.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and accountable individual.
- Self-starter, able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Clean driver's license.
