Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets through effective sales execution and pipeline management.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts for the Clinical & Pharma Microbiology business areas.
  • Develop and implement effective business territory plans to drive sales growth.
  • Use data analysis tools to optimize sales and margin metrics for customer accounts.
  • Ensure feedback is provided to the Product Management and broader sales teams on win/loss reasons, competitor intelligence, and market knowledge.
  • Gain a strong understanding of customer requirements and application needs on a technical level to ensure suitable solutions are proposed.
  • Understand the regulatory environment these products and customers work within.
  • Assist the Product Management team in ensuring inventory and product forecasting targets are met and customer/marketing expectations are achieved.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, seminars, and participate in customer engagement activities to support the growth strategy.
  • Work with Technical and Service teams to resolve customer technical issues to high customer satisfaction.
  • Attend training events to maintain up-to-date skills and relevant expertise.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Science or a related subject area are highly regarded.
  • Experience in a Microbiology laboratory or commercial Microbiology setting is essential.
  • Previous experience selling Microbiology reagents and consumables is highly valued.
  • Technical understanding of markets, particularly within clinical and pharmaceutical laboratories, is required.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process with a consistent track record of achieving results.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems is necessary.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
