Job Title:

Academic Success Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Success Officer to join our team at the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education. The successful candidate will contribute to the progression and success of candidates enrolled in our national First Nations Higher Degrees by Research program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level academic and practical support to Higher Degree Research candidates
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of academic programs and training opportunities
  • Facilitate research candidate inclusion in wider research activity across the Higher Education and Research Division
  • Other duties as directed by the Graduate School Academic Program Leader
Selection Criteria:
  • Academic and/or industry track record demonstrating experience relevant to contributing to First Nations success in an academic higher education program
  • Capacity to foster and contribute to a culturally safe, inclusive, and accessible working environment
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively to a culturally diverse team
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills, including proficient written, organisational, and oral communication
  • Demonstrated initiative and capacity to manage workload priorities
