Emergency Vet Nurse Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Vet Nurse to join our team at Animal Referral Hospital in Wollongong. As an Emergency Vet Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering timely and effective emergency treatments to critically ill and injured patients.

The ideal candidate will have Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent and previous experience with complex emergency cases. You will be able to provide high-quality patient care even in busy conditions and possess strong communication skills. A friendly, team-player attitude and flexibility to work across days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and public holidays are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to critically ill and injured patients during busy periods.
  • Collaborate with our skilled veterinary team to deliver timely and effective emergency treatments.
  • Monitor patients closely, administer medications, and assist with medical procedures as needed.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols.
  • Offer support and guidance to pet owners during stressful situations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent
  • Previous experience with complex emergency cases
  • Ability to provide high quality patient care even in busy conditions
