Veterinary care is a vital component of animal health, and as an ECC Veterinary Nurse at our hospital, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and patient-focused Full-Time ECC Veterinary Nurse to join our team. As a member of our busy referral hospital, North Shore Veterinary Hospital, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and cases, honing your clinical nursing skills in emergency and critical care.
Your Role:- Apply and adapt your clinical nursing skills to an emergency and critical care focused caseload, including blood transfusion therapy, mechanical ventilation, advanced catheterisation techniques, advanced monitoring, and triage/stabilisation of the emergency patient.
- Work directly with ECC specialists, interns, and out-of-hours vets, delivering high-end patient care.
- Use Smart Flow system to assess and record patient vitals, identify and report abnormalities.
- Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent, and a minimum of 3 years' clinical experience.
- Experience in specialty and/or critical care roles.
- Further training in ECC nursing is preferred.
- Experience using ventilators is essential.
- Ability to work well within a close-knit team and adapt to changing work environments and schedules.
- A supportive and friendly team environment.
- A varied and interesting case-load.
- Training in advanced critical care nursing skills.
