Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Engineering Design & Verification
    • Conduct or review engineering designs and technical verifications for project deliverables to ensure quality and compliance with requirements.
  • Resource Management
    • Plan, manage, and supervise engineering resources to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Technical Documentation
    • Produce or oversee the creation of datasheets, technical reports, work instructions, design drawings, and calculations.
  • Control System Design
    • Develop control system deliverables, such as Requirements Specifications, Scopes of Work, Functional Specifications, and Test Documentation.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Participate in meetings and workshops, provide input to progress reports, and adhere to quality procedures. Maintain effective communication with project teams, stakeholders, and other departments.
  • Vendor Management
    • Interface with vendors to ensure compliance with project specifications and attend factory and vendor integration testing.
  • Site Support
    • Conduct short-term, ad-hoc site commissioning as required.
  • Safety in Design
    • Promote and integrate Safety in Design principles into control system projects.
  • Technical Reviews
    • Conduct detailed reviews of key control schemes on P&IDs and control narratives.
  • Procurement & Commissioning Support
    • Assist with procurement activities, such as writing requisitions and performing technical bid evaluations. Support construction and commissioning activities as needed.
  • Budget & Risk Management
    • Estimate and track engineering hours, manage project budgets, and design with appropriate levels of risk, incorporating HSE considerations.
Requirements
  • A recognized engineering degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent, with eligibility for Engineers Australia membership.
  • Proven experience in control system design and execution, including successful delivery of significant projects.
  • Substantial technical and practical experience in Brownfields projects within the hydrocarbons or LNG industries (highly desired).
  • Honeywell Experion system experience (preferred).
  • Strong expertise in multi-disciplinary project execution and collaboration across diverse teams and locations.
  • Leadership skills with an interest in coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Current EEHA competency and FSEng qualifications (desirable but not essential).
  • Demonstrated experience in client, inter-discipline, and construction interface management.
Salary Package

The salary package for this role will be approximately $140,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. This includes superannuation and other benefits.
