About the Role

The Communications Lead – CRR will provide technical support to the construction and Test and Commissioning teams, ensuring all contract requirements are met with relevant evidence available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, review, and implement Hexagon checklists for wireless systems and PA Systems
  • RPEQ signoff after review of Hexagon acceptance of Construction Activities
  • Provide SME guidance and advice for construction and testing & commissioning activities
  • Ensure network design and acceptance during configuration stages
  • Prepare Work Instructions for wireless systems testing
  • Telecommunications Commissioning Report preparation for each configuration stage of the project
  • Review and approve Redline Markups of drawings
  • Act as RPEQ for Wireless System Document sign off
  • Govern and Signoff RF testing activities for testing and commissioning
  • SME and point of contact for Lead Carrier, GWN Directorate, ETCS (Hitachi), and ERS (RIS) systems
  • Plan and support Test and Commissioning of MTS / ERS / GWN/PS systems
  • Quality Control reviews of installation activities
  • Recommend and procure testing equipment for testing
  • Write / update the EMC Commissioning Report for each configuration stage of the project
  • Assure EMC activities for configuration stages
  • Investigate Standards and provide assistance with compliance for procured items
  • Respond to ISA comments for EMC
  • Assist to resolve EMC related issues in Stations and Tunnel

About You

You will thrive in a technical environment, able to solve problems. Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in a hands-on engineering management role
  • Design of systems including documentation of drawings, reports, and specifications
  • Understanding of the test and commissioning process, methods, and requirements as it relates to wireless systems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Outlook
  • Ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative
  • Mandatory – CPEng and ability to achieve RPEQ in an appropriate discipline
