Quality Assurance and Information Technology

We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join our team. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for developing frameworks, test harnesses, and scripts to test firmware algorithms, Edge Computing applications interfacing Catapult wearables with the cloud, and IoT backends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop test procedures, develop automated test harnesses, detect and report issues, and collaborate with development engineers to resolve issues.
  • Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and cases for new and existing features; review and contribute to those developed by colleagues.
  • Write testing infrastructure/tools/automation components that are reliable, well documented and maintainable.
  • Promote innovation, drive best practice and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Monitor and report on testing progress, defect trends, and overall quality metrics.

You will work closely with tech leads, product managers and stakeholders to align on priorities, tradeoffs and risk, and influence product design to improve testability and quality from the start.

Requirements:
  • Formal qualifications in electronics or software engineering.
  • At least 3 years of firmware testing experience.
  • At least 2 years of Python programming experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with IoT technologies (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies (BLE, Wi‑Fi, UWB).
  • Experience with Git code management.
  • Experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise test plans and test cases.
