Technical Lead - Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Lead to drive quality, usability, and performance in our wearable tracking hardware and stadium infrastructure products. As a key player in our Research & Development team, you will bridge engineering and product outcomes, ensuring testing is not just a stage in the process but a driver of product excellence.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in electronics or software engineering, with a proven track record of firmware testing experience. They will be responsible for developing frameworks, test harnesses, and scripts to test firmware algorithms, Edge Computing applications, and Internet of Things (IoT) backends. They will also create and implement test strategies, plans, and cases for new and existing features, reviewing and contributing to those developed by colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality test infrastructure/tools/automation components that are reliable, debugged, well-documented, and have logical utilities that are not easily misused.
  • Create and implement effective test strategies, plans, and cases for new and existing features.
  • Work closely with tech leads, product managers, and other stakeholders to align on priorities, tradeoffs, and risk.
Requirements:
  • Formal qualifications in electronics or software engineering.
  • At least 3 years of firmware testing experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience with the Python programming language.
  • Demonstrated experience working with IoT technologies (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems.
