Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping our quality processes and influencing various aspects of the business through continuous improvement of consumer- and merchant-facing systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to design, build, and own automation test suites for APIs and processing jobs, integrating tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

Additionally, you will work closely with Product Managers and Senior Engineers to clarify business requirements and expectations for testing plans and approach.

You will also coach engineers on quality assurance, testing, and observability by sharing your experience and knowledge to implement quality governance across the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and own automation test suites for APIs and processing jobs, integrating tests into the CI/CD pipeline
  • Work with Product Manager, Senior Engineers to clarify business requirements and expectations for testing plans and approach
  • Coach engineers on quality assurance, testing, and observability by sharing experience and knowledge to implement quality governance across the development lifecycle
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with Product Managers, Developers to understand feature scope, impact areas, and technical complications
  • Review acceptance criteria for feature cards through story kickoffs
  • Mentor engineers on quality assurance and testing, providing confidence for releasing software with shifting left techniques and fostering continuous improvement culture
  • Assess and mitigate risks, solve quality challenges, and implement changes to improve engineering efficiency

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
- Minimum 2 years relevant experience
- Experience designing and implementing automation test frameworks
- Experience in exploratory and automated testing
- Familiarity with Java and/or Kotlin code as part of assurance program regarding unit & component tests
- Basic cloud concepts familiarity
- Passion for solving business problems with technology
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills
