The role of Business Improvement Specialist is pivotal in driving organizational excellence by facilitating key improvement initiatives, fostering stakeholder engagement and collaboration. This dynamic position plays a vital part in achieving strategic objectives through the implementation of business excellence frameworks and principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To coordinate and support the adoption of business excellence framework and principles, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
  • Provide expert business support, project management, corporate reporting, and associated administrative functions to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead the development, enhancement, and maintenance of business systems and processes within the team to deliver exceptional services and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Contribute significantly to the management team's success by driving performance plans and Council's Operational and Strategic Plans forward.
Requirements:
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or considerable experience in providing business improvement support, developing improvement initiatives, and implementing change in a technical service environment.
  • Sound knowledge & skills in contemporary business systems, process development, documentation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and take initiative while maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Well-developed ICT skills including experience in using technologies and corporate systems in a service environment and ability to learn new systems and provide guidance and instruction to staff in their use.
  • Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills (written & oral) with the ability to engage staff and stakeholders, build effective networks, and facilitate collaborative relationships.
