Freelance Interpreter Job

You are looking for a new challenge? Do you want to use your language skills to make a difference in people's lives?

We are recruiting freelance interpreters to work in various settings such as the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation and other public and private organisations.

About the Role:

The role involves listening to, understanding and reproducing speech from one language into another with 100% accuracy. You will be interpreting for people using legal, health and local government services, checking their understanding after each sentence, and liaising between service users and providers.

Responsibilities include:
  • Interpreting in face-to-face, telephone, or video settings
  • Consecutive and public service interpreting
  • Dealing with confidential information

Requirements:
  • You must be fluent in English and another language
  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be aged 21 or over
  • You must have formal qualifications in interpreting, translation, or languages (e.g., Diploma in Public Service Interpreting, Community Interpreting)
