About the Role:
The Australian Catholic University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Leader in Literacy Education to join our National School of Education. As a key academic and leadership role, you will provide input into teaching innovations and curriculum development, contributing to the activities of the National School of Education and the effective coordination, supervision, and/or mentoring of staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, deliver, coordinate, and assess units at undergraduate and postgraduate levels within the discipline of Literacy Education in line with the school's national curricula.
- Participate and contribute to the academic governance of the school in a range of administrative and advisory roles.
- Contribute to research excellence at ACU, through embedding current disciplinary research in the development of units, publishing in high-quality outlets, applying for research grants, and/or industry consultancies.
- Supervise higher degree research students at the level appropriate to the appointment.
What We Offer:
- Total remuneration valued to $134,709 - $158,885 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $113,831 - $134,397 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level B), employer contribution to superannuation, and annual leave loading or total remuneration valued to $168,512 - $182,954 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $142,625 - $154,969 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level C), employer contribution to superannuation, and annual leave loading.
- 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
- Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
- Access to generous benefits, including flexible work, study leave, a variety of leave provisions, and salary packaging.
