About the Role:


Kennedys is seeking a highly skilled Workplace Relations Specialist to join our employment team in Sydney or Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with a renowned Employment Partner to deliver exceptional results in industrial relations, health and safety, discrimination, and employment law matters.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Australian employment law, experience in Fair Work Commission and Federal Court processes, and a solid understanding of non-contentious employment matters. You will be responsible for leading on webinars and business development activities, leveraging our global reputation in the legal market.


Team:


You will receive expert guidance and mentorship from our Melbourne Employment Partner, Chris Molnar, who has over 25 years of practicing experience and is accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria as a specialist in workplace relations. You will also be part of a dynamic team of Associates and Paralegals who will provide support and collaboration.

Cases:



  • Fair Work Commission, health & safety prosecutions, discrimination, wrongful dismissal, EO, and human rights

Requirements:



  • 8+ years PQE experience with a strong background in workplace relations
  • A solid knowledge and understanding of Australian employment law
  • Experience and knowledge of Fair Work Commission and Federal Court processes and procedures
  • Non-contentious employment experience
  • Ability to run own caseload
  • Leadership abilities and natural flair for building relationships
