We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to join our team at Recruitment Hive. As a Cybersecurity Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in coordinating governance, risk, and compliance assessments of our research networks and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to implement and monitor cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls to strengthen our cyber posture and align practices with Defence standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and logs to detect and respond to potential threats and breaches.
  • Investigate, contain, eradicate, document, and recover from security incidents to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, and recommend proactive measures to enhance our security posture.
  • Provide guidance and support in explaining the implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures to clients.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, and Threat Hunting.
  • Deep understanding of ISM, DSFP, PSPF, and their practical implementation/use.
  • Experience in Windows security concepts – GPO, AD, MFA, etc.
  • Familiarity with Linux platforms.
  • Knowledge of Security infrastructure – FW, Routers, IPS, Switching.
  • Knowledge and/or use of Security concepts – SIEM, EDR, XDR, IR, MDR, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of current cyber threats, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies.
  • Able to document processes.

Essential Criteria:

  • Ability to monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and logs to detect and respond to potential threats and breaches.
  • Experience in incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, documentation, and recovery, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Be up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, and recommend proactive measures to enhance our security posture.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of the DSPF, PSPF, and ISM.
  • Be able to provide guidance and support in explaining the implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures to clients.
