
Data Center Systems Specialist

This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the operational integrity of our critical infrastructure.
As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a data center operation.
Responsibilities include conducting daily site inspections, ensuring safe and efficient work environments, responding to Building Management System alarms, collaborating with third-party vendors, and executing planned preventative maintenance on all equipment.
Additionally, you will monitor the Building Management System, address facility and plant faults, and complete required training to ensure successful job completion.
The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Airconditioning & Refrigeration, an ARC license, and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
Australian Citizenship and NV1 vetting clearance are also requirements for this position.
- Conduct daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Electrical Engineering systems and technical equipment.
- Ensure the site's environmental conditions are conducive to a safe and efficient work environment.
- Respond promptly to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs as necessary.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure compliance with company-developed processes and procedures.
- Notify management if subcontractor performance does not meet requirements.
- Execute planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
- Monitor the Building Management System for running and alarm conditions, addressing HVAC-related client issues.
- Perform building walkthroughs, taking meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities.
- Address facility and plant faults with effective solutions.
- Complete assigned work following established processes and procedures, adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
